Ranking Methodology
Prices before opinions
Our headline ranking metric is a real-world cost figure: dollars per minute of a standard private show. For every scored platform we take its published token bundle prices, convert tokens to dollars, apply the platform's per-minute token rate for a private show or equivalent room type, and compute the effective cost. No discounts, bonuses, or one-time promos are assumed unless they are ongoing defaults for a new customer; where applied, the exact assumption is stated next to the number.
What gets scored
| Factor | Weight | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Price efficiency (USD per show-minute) | Highest | Platform's public pricing page |
| Price stability (how often verified prices drift) | Medium | Our own re-check history |
| Transparency of token math (is the per-minute rate published at all?) | Medium | Platform's help/pricing docs |
| Free-tier usefulness for test-driving a model | Low | Observed public rooms |
Inflating a platform whose lowest private rate is so high that a "cheap tokens" bundle still costs more per minute than a competitor's standard rate is penalized; we expect that to matter to readers above all else, and the weighting reflects it.
What does not count
- Affiliate commission rates. A higher payout never moves a ranking. Disclosure.
- Design, branding, or marketing claims by the platforms themselves.
- Anything we cannot verify without an account. We don't create accounts on the platforms we review, so we don't score members-only features.
Verification cadence
Prices are re-verified against official public pricing pages on a monthly cycle. Each ranking table shows the date of its last full price check. If a platform changes a price, we correct our tables within 48 hours of confirmation.
How to dispute a number
Found a cheaper bundle, a different per-minute rate, or a promo we should be treating as a default? Email the platform, bundle, and price you see to info@livecamrank.com.
Independence statement
We are an anonymous, unfunded-by-platforms editorial project. We receive commission revenue from some platforms via affiliate links and publish rankings whose inputs are public pages any reader can check. The two facts coexist in this way by design.
